CCLA/Marylebone Executive Search World Lecture – ‘ Justice and Jeopardy….the gamble with our future’ took place at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2N 2DQ on the evening of Tuesday, 13th May 2025 at 6pm.The lecture followed by a reception was given by HH Wendy Joseph KC, formerly a judge at the Old Bailey being only the third woman to hold a permanent position at the Old Bailey. Since retiring from the bench at the Old Bailey in 2022, has embarked on a successful career writing about the law. In her first book, “Unlawful Killings”, she used eight anonymised cases to demonstrate how the criminal justice system works. In her second book, “Rough Justice” she employed a further four cases to demonstrate some of the system’s failings, particularly those that adversely affect women. She is a regular contributor on radio and television. She is also a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers.
