A vibrant, 5-18 independent school for boys with a Pre-Prep, Pre-Senior School, which thrives on success and has an enviable national reputation for academic excellence drawing its pupils from a wide range of cultures and faiths. Many activities are organised jointly with Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls.

The school is noted for its music, as well as a wide range of extra-curricular activities embracing sport, drama, art, poetry and debating, with over 70 clubs and activities.
The Aske’s Board is seeking two individuals with demonstrable experience, to join the Board as a:
Governor with Early Years/Junior experience
Governor with Secondary experience
- are excited by the vision and the ambition of the both schools
- can contribute to a strategic and effective Governing Body
- contribute to curriculum design and innovation
- will challenge staff to continually improve
- possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with presence and natural authority
The two Governors we are looking for should have extensive experience working at either early-years/junior (under-eleven) and high achieving secondary levels, whether in single-sex or co-educational schools in the independent or maintained sectors. They will join the Aske Board, the governing body overseeing both the Haberdashers’ Askes’ Elstree Schools, as full Governors. The appointees will be key members of the cross-School Teaching, Learning and Collaboration Committee, contributing to the development of educational philosophy and ethos, challenging performance through monitoring of attainment and supporting the sharing of best practice.
